Placement Considerations

  • The Ethernet cable provided with the satellite modem is 7 feet long. The customer computer must be within 7 feet of the satellite modem to use this cable. The customer can supply a longer cable if they desire
  • Keep the Satellite Modem away from heat, liquid and magnetic interference
  • The Satellite Modem must have at least 3 3/4 inches of clearance from the back for proper cabling
  • Remember that the Modem must have one inch of clearance from the front and sides for airflow
